8:30 AM - 11:30 AM    Walpole Babe Ruth

9:00 AM - 9:30 AM    SATURDAY SOCCER - Parent & Me Soccer (Age 2) - 9:00am
Have you been thinking about Fall Saturday Soccer as much as us? We can already hear the crunching of fall leaves and can sense a hint of pumpkin spice in the air! After a whirlwind summer - we're looking forward to a bit more normalcy in offering our Saturday Youth Soccer on Stone Field. While many things about Youth Soccer will remain unchanged - there are a few COVID related changes that you will see in this year's program. First off - to minimize contact between our staff and the several hundred families that makeup our 16 teams, we will be relying heavily on Parent Coaches that are assigned to each group for the duration of the 5-week session. Coaches will receive all of the equipment and lesson plans needed to run a successful soccer class - along with a hands on training that will take place on Saturday, September 12th. We aim to have 2 parent volunteer coaches sign-up for each team. On site each Saturday, 2 - Walpole Recreation Field Supervisors will be working in the "buffer zone" of the 4 fields to help offer guidance to coaches or answer parent questions. To allow for a better learning experience, soccer for Ages 2 & 3 will be "Parent & Me" soccer. This means that parents will be required to participate hands on with their children. At this time - per state guidelines - we are limited to 50 people on Stone Field at all times. Please help us abide by this capacity limitation by only having 1-parent per child - unfortunately, no additional siblings will be allowed to watch from the sidelines.  Please be prepared to social distance on the sidelines and please bring a mask for both you and your child to each day of the program. All participants, coaches, and parents will need to be mindful of social distancing for the duration of the program both on the field and on the sidelines. Equipment (balls, cones, nets) between each time block will be sanitized by our Walpole Recreation Staff. Each week of Saturday soccer will build on skills learned in the previous class. All instruction will be age appropriate with drills and skills that will keep kids active and moving on the field during their class. Please Note:-- There will not be soccer on Saturday, October 10th for Columbus Day Weekend.-- In the event of inclement weather - our program rain make-up date will take place on Saturday, October 31st.-- No shirts will be provided to participants-- Please wear shin guards, cleats are not compulsory sneakers would be fine.In addition if all participants can bring a Water Bottle & Jumper that would be great.FIELD LOCATIONSAges 2 & 3  - Morgan Field (144 School Street, Walpole MA 02081)Ages 4 & 5 - Stone Field (30 Stone Street, Walpole MA 02081)******************Inclement Weather:In the event of inclement weather that inhibits activity, you will be notified by email of that day's cancellation as early as possible. Every effort will be made to make up the missed class at the end of the program. During the winter, if Walpole Public School closes due to inclement weather, Recreation Department programs and classes will also be cancelled for the day.Refund Policy:Because the Recreation Department incurs expenses to hire staff, purchase supplies and materials, and contract other expenses in preparation of a program, the department cannot offer full refunds. Full credits may be issued. Partial refunds may be issued upon request, however a 20% administrative fee over the overall program cost will be deducted per registrant. The Recreation Department will not issue refunds for any credit card convenience fees incurred. No refunds or credits will be issued without 48 hours' notice prior to the start of the program.Questions / Concerns:If you have any questions or concerns about the program, please contact Rich Lamoury at the Recreation Department at 508-660-6353 or directly at rlamoury@walpole-ma.gov.

10:00 AM - 10:30 AM    SATURDAY SOCCER - Soccer (Age 4) - 10:00am
