Registration is per window, not per person - paying more than one registration fee means you are booking multiple windows to paint

The Walpole Recreation Department in partnership with Destination Downtown is planning a “Bear of a Summer” art event! This program aims to give the residents of Walpole a chance to be creative and add a little pizazz to the windows of Downtown Main Street businesses!

The window painting will take place between Saturday, August 15, and Monday, August 17. Participants will be able to paint their assigned windows anytime throughout those days from 9 am - 6 pm. All paintings should follow this year's bear theme. Paint and 2 brushes are included with your registration fee of $25.00 (this fee is per window space, not per person). Windows can be painted by one person or a family.

Windows will be assigned and the painting area will be marked out with blue painters tape. Please do not paint outside the marked off space on your window. Paintings will remain on Main Street Business windows through August 24th. Following the conclusion of the Art Event, windows will be professionally cleaned.

Reminder:  Parents are responsible for water and a small container to rinse brushes, paper towels, a drop cloth/newspaper to keep the sidewalk clean, and something to take trash home in  (please do not leave it for the shop owner).
Please limit the use of black in artwork, as a concentration of black draws sunlight/heat, causing glass breakage.

While painting your assigned windows, please bring a mask and be mindful of social distancing.

Supplies Pick-Up:
Once registered - painting supplies can be picked up at the Walpole Recreation Department from Wednesday, August 12th to Friday August 14th between 8am & 4pm. The Recreation Office is closed on weekends so supplies cannot be picked up on Saturday or Sunday.

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
