As a Junior, you should strongly consider taking the SAT test at some point this spring.
The test dates for Spring 2019 are: Saturday March 9th, Saturday May 4th and Saturday June 1st.
While SAT scores are no longer required by all colleges, there are many schools that do still want SAT scores submitted. To keep your options open, it's a great idea to take the SATs in case you are interested in a school that requires them. This is too important of a decision - you do not want to be scrambling at the last minute.
The SAT test has changed significantly over the past few years and focuses more on the math and writing skills taught in school and less on the logic games that used to be the SAT. This SAT Prep Bootcamp is designed to be a small group setting where students will become familiar with the SAT test directions, layout, types of questions, etc so there are no surprises come test day. Students will take a total of 2 complete practice tests (one with the optional Essay portion and one without it) and will analyze their results. Students will understand how the SAT is scored and we will spend a significant amount of time going over specific questions and topics. Students will create their own specific goals and plans for increasing their score. SAT Prep Study Guide Book and a notebook will be provided for all students as part of registration. Students should bring their own calculator with them to each session
Required Diagnostic Pre-Test dates
- Saturday February 2nd 8:45a.m. - 1:00p.m.
- Saturday March 16th 8:45a.m. - 1:00p.m.
In the event of inclement weather that inhibits activity, you will be notified by email of that day's cancellation as early as possible. Every effort will be made to make up the missed class at the end of the program. During the winter, if Walpole Public School closes due to inclement weather, Recreation Department programs and classes will also be cancelled for the day.
Because the Recreation Department incurs expenses to hire staff, purchase supplies and materials, and contract other expenses in preparation of a program, the department cannot offer full refunds. Full credits may be issued. Partial refunds may be issued upon request, however a 20% administrative fee over the overall program cost will be deducted per registrant. The Recreation Department will not issue refunds for any credit card convenience fees incurred. No refunds or credits will be issued without 48 hours' notice prior to the start of the program.
Questions / Concerns:
If you have any questions or concerns about the program, please contact Lauren Wolf at the Recreation Department at 508-660-6353 or directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
